Soothe Your Senses

The average person is bombarded by sensory input on the regular. So much so that they tend to because numb to seeing and hearing things like: aggression, violence, and explicit content on television, mainstream media, social media and in music they listen to. This type of stuff affects the emotional body and takes a toll on a person's mental health.

It's important to take time to soothe the senses. Unplug from screens sometime. Some other examples of how to do this for yourself: self massage of face or feet, soothing nature sounds, lyricless calming music, candle gazing, essential oils, incense, practicing hatha yoga in a zen like space you create for yourself.

Also take in content and have conversations that lift you up, bring you joy, stretch your imagination, and inspires you to be a better human. Rather than listening to sources rooted in fear meant to keep you locked in anger, frustrated and separation.
