💜I am leading VinYin Style classes all week in conjunction with gratitude checks. This theme is a call to acknowledge and appreciate the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine energies within each and every human being regardless of parts, labels or preferences.
🌟The average human is out of balance in some way in regards to these energies. A VinYin Style practice can specifically teach the practitioner how to find harmony within themselves by tapping into and harnessing the power of both the masculine and the feminine.
💜We are not designed to be all one or all the other. We are designed to be an individual expression of the two energies dancing harmoniously together within. When we unite the energies inside we show up as more centered beings in the world. Let us not steal either one of these parts of ourselves away from ourselves but appreciate and acknowledge them both.
🌟The average American is scared of slowing down because they were only ever taught how to push themselves to do more and be more. This leads to burn out, getting lost in the physical world and a disconnection to the Spirit. Gender roles have also skewed societies view on what masculine vs. feminine is and who should be what- this has brainwashed us and caused a lack of understanding in regards to these energies within/around us in nature.
🌟VinYin means a little bit of strength followed by a little bit of surrender. The "Vin" of the vin and yin will be moderate hatha, nothing too intense. This is the masculine energy.
☮️Yin is a style of passive opening in extended holds, often with props, to get deep opening in the body. This style teaches students how to slow down. So have pillows, blankets, blocks and a strap around. This is the feminine energy.
