Yoga is an ancient 8-fold path of knowledge specifically designed to assist in strengthening self-awareness and increasing overall vitality.
In my classes I lead centering, breathing, movement and relaxation. Each week there is an overarching theme. I teach the yoga philosophy in a down to earth type of way to demystify spirituality and make it accessible. My style is lighthearted, playful and trauma sensitive.
Over the past 9 weeks I have led students through classes focused on the first two steps of the 8 Fold Path, the Yamas and the Niyamas.
This week we will by learning about the the 5th and final Niyama, Isvara Pranidhana- Surrendering to the Divine. Yoga is non-dogmatic and can support you in connecting to whatever name you call your Higher Power. There are times in our life that we need to hand the reigns over to God/Goddess, trust and surrender. Expect more on that throughout the week.
