This week in classes will be all about the 3rd chakra, Manipura. Located at the solar plexus, just above the navel at the base of the rib cage. The element here is fire and the color is yellow. This morning's trip to see the sunrise at the beach with 3 students/friends was just what I needed to get my vibes in line with Manipura, or "lustrous gem." This energy center is the seat of our willpower and where we tap into the strength to get shit done. In my life as a caregiver I notice that sometimes my self care takes a back burner. I fall into old habits that don't serve my highest good because I run out of steam. This morning's trip where I woke at 3am to begin the sunrise adventure was a start of getting myself back in line with overall nutrition- body, energy, thinking, mind, intuition and spirit. When I take care of myself optimally I am in better shape to continue to be of service to the world around me. Today’s trip with fellow spiritual seekers got me excited about life, it invigorated my spirit and reminded me that my choices reflect who I am. Fire is about transformation- here we can mindfully chose change that supports our growth and movement forward. Then we really shine. That is what the wisdom of Manipura is all about. No judgment when we fall off the path, with love and compassion we just get right back on. It happens to us all on this human journey.
