The barriers in the mind are called Klesha's according to yoga philosophy.

There are 5 of them-

Ignorance: forgetting we are Spirit and connected to everything in the Universe.

Ego: identification with the physical, "I" centered.

Attachment: to outcomes/feelings/things.

Aversion: avoidance of what is disliked.

Fear: of loss/change/life.


All humans have these things. When you begin to shine the light of awareness on the hindrances of the mind you can start to break through them. You can learn, grow, evolve, move towards who you really are: Soul.


I will be talking about this during classes this week in regards to seeing through eyes of truthfulness and embodiment of the virtue through gaining awareness of how the mind pulls us away from the Self.
