Some days you just feel really aligned with Spirit. Today was one of those days for me. I started my morning off with a meditation on my porch with cicada sounds. Then spent the morning/early afternoon in playful and sweet nanny time with an almost 3 year old and some bits of time with an almost 9 month old. The imaginitive playtime, processing of emotions and relationship building that I do with children, and have done with children for 17 years professionally, keeps me in line with Source. After play time I did adulting errands. Later in the day I got inspired to begin writing a mission statement based on an incident I encountered while in a store (stay tuned for that). Lastly I taught my gentle hatha class and was feeling super in tune with my authentic voice while leading my students. Today was a good day . I am grateful.
What I am most thankful for is my Yoga practice and how much it has given me in regards to releasing expectations about myself and loving myself just as I am....which includes the days where I'm not feeling so shiny, because I had a bunch of those recently.
I share this in case it resonates with you. Each of us can benefit from a self-love practice and a way to check in on our body, mind and spirit in a loving and curious way. How much time do you carve out for yourself to lay down your burdens and care for your body, breath, mind and spirit? If the answer is not enough, guess what we all get like that. But.... cultivation of a consistent Yoga practice can support you in de-stressing your humanness. Yoga practices were designed to create a hospitable body and spacious mind for the spirit to reside.
I offer weekly virtual hatha yoga classes for varying levels. I also have an On Demand video library. In addition I am a Certified Yoga Therapist and offer virtual 1:1 sessions.
