Why I Share My Story

Updated: Feb 1, 2023

I don't share my story for pity.

I don't share my story out of anger.

I have worked through forgiveness on all sides.

I share my story to inspire.

Emotional and mental healing is a process.

It's a process that requires you to look at all your shit and figure out why you went through it.

Your life is your lesson.

The world is your classroom.

You can let it break you.

You can let it make you.

You can let it do both.

You are the one who gets to decide if you do the work to understand your story and why it all played out the way it did.

As children we don't have a choice- the world imprints on us.

As adults we have a choice- we can clear the layers of familial and societal conditioning and find our True Self.

No one is coming to save you or do the work for you.

There is however a lot of support out there!

You are not alone.

Support can come through a variety of sources to help you figure yourself out and get yourself in order.

Including but not limited to: books, podcasts, videos, personal sessions, group sessions in fields of- mental health, yoga therapy, movement therapy, spirituality, astrology, chakra system, human design, sound healing, reiki, +++

There are so many avenues to move your wounded energy and to understand yourself.

Your wounds won't heal themselves.

Emotions suppressed need to be moved.

Thought processes stuck in negative patterns need to be rewritten.

It's hard work and an investment in you.

You have to learn how to understand yourself and choose how you want to show up.

You have to own your story and love yourself.

Do you want to live perpetuating the damage done to you in unhealthy relationship patterns with yourself/others? Or do you want to learn how to live with a peaceful mind and open heart, making healthier choices?

How I started my healing process was through studying Psychology in college, learning/applying behavioral and relationship based therapy with children with autism for 13 years and caring for myself through yoga practices starting at around 22 years old.

All of the above gave me a foundation for healing that took me about 20 years to finally say- I am healed from my emotional and mental wounds inflicted through developmental trauma ages 0-17.

I say starting at zero because I learned of the circumstances of my creation and the environment I was in during the foundational years, leading to my first traumatic memory at 3.

I share because I want people to know that they don't need to stay in their dysfunctional family dynamics.

I want others to know that they can make it out, be different, heal themselves and make the world a better place in their own unique way.

I want those wounded children who grew up to be wounded adults to hear: it wasn't your fault. Those that broke you were broken too, because someone broke them. You get to stop the disfunction in your line by healing yourself.

Then you will be better for yourself, your children, your partners, your family, your friends, your coworkers, your community, your world.

It all starts with the first step towards choosing your wellness and healing.

Do it because you love yourself.

You came here to do something no one else can do.

You came here to be uniquely you.

You came here to shine.

You came here to remember the magnificent gift of life and all its lessons.

You came here to grow, shift, change, evolve.

It's never too late to begin.

How will you choose health and wellness for yourself today?
