Single ladies on dating apps: In case you didn't know there is a scam out there called "Pig Butchering."
Hopefully I'm wrong about this guy on Hinge. He unmatched with me immediately so I cannot read the thread anymore, nor report his profile. Ladies beware.
Nothing is sacred and these apps that are supposedly there to help us connect, honestly have made me feel more isolated and alone than ever when it comes to the dating scene.
I had inclings of this scam happen twice within 20 minutes of being on Hinge, so I Googled dating scams ...
In this scam a male profile with extremely attractive photos matches with a woman. Then they begin to strategically get the woman to fall for them.
The man will mirror the woman's answers to questions and say things like "We think alike" and "Our meeting will be a great future story."
Their wording and grammar may be a bit off. They prey on woman who are lonely and seeking attention.
They ask the woman for her contact information almost immediately.
Eventually they convince the woman to invest in crypto currency as an investment in their budding love relationship.
Then they drain the woman financially.
Be weary out there women.
If it feels a bit off, it is. If it's "too good to be true" and you never see the actual person, it is a scam. Don't give out your number too soon. Don't give anyone money ever.
