Welcome to Metamorphosis

A 5-month transformative Yoga Therapy intensive that is designed to

offer you a journey to align yourself with love and discover your own path to health and happiness. Through my lighthearted approach and trauma-informed lens I will lead you through a sometimes messy yet magical metamorphosis, and empower you to transform your life in positive ways, one step at a time.

 My hope with lovingly guiding you through this Metamorphosis journey, is that our time together will teach you how to go from anxious and overwhelmed to deeply rooted in radical self-acceptance and unconditional self-love. Ultimately, through applying the principles in this program in your life, you will learn how to tune-in more clearly to the wisdom that you hold inside yourself, I will merely be shining a light to help you go deeper.

  • Build healthy coping mechanisms to support your balance and resilience.

When you emerge from your transformational journey you will feel empowered to continue on with your healthy coping strategies because you will have experienced the feel-good benefits of having applied them intentionally during our time together.

Through my practical and playful guidance, this program will give you:

  • Personalized practices for your physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual needs.

Your personalized tools will work for bringing you back into balance in moments when you stumble off kilter. You will also have access to me, your Yoga Therapist, for support every step of the way and have opportunities to connect with others who are on similar healing journeys.

The program  is designed to meet students where they are at regardless of their familiarity with yoga. It can support those who want to deepen their understanding of applying yogic principles in their life (newbies, seasoned practitioners or even teachers).

Begin to put your needs first and create balance in your life in regards to work, rest, and play. Stop beating yourself up for perceived mistakes or imperfections. Forgive yourself for your past and celebrate how far you've come. Learn how to treat yourself with loving kindness and compassion through it all. Embrace radical self-acceptance.

Truth

The truth is, until you begin to make your self-care and overall wellbeing a top priority you will show up as a half-assed watered down version of yourself.  You are doing a disservice to everyone, including yourself by living chronically disconnected and depleted. Learn how to stop putting yourself last, feel more in tune with your own inner guidance system and fill your cup.  Additionally, throughout the program I will offer you ancient principles and guidance, it is necessary that you practice discernment with all that is offered, keeping what resonates with your soul as truth and letting go of what doesn't.

Authenticity

Be your true, authentic self throughout this journey, and allow yourself to be vulnerable and messy at times. Embrace the magical metamorphosis that occurs when you don't judge the muck but accept it as part of the process.

Accountability

The transformation from stress-full to bliss-full requires intentional effort and self-reflection, with personal goals set during Yoga Therapy sessions for you to implement changes that resonate with you. I created the container and will hold the space, you need to put in the work.

Playfulness

You are a perfectly imperfect spiritual being having a human experience.  Learn how to hold things lightly, embrace a curious mindset and have a sense of humor about the process of self-discovery. In reality there is so much about life that you cannot control, much of this is learning how to ride the waves of life with controlled folly.

Comprehensive Yoga Therapy

Along with the modules (which will include education, practices and reflection exercises that you will submit to me, aiming for one module per week) you will be meeting with me two times a month for 60 minute Yoga Therapy sessions.

I am trained in Comprehensive Yoga Therapy, which means that when I work with someone I look at them under an all inclusive lens- physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy

I am a trauma-informed Yoga Therapist which, at its most basic level, means that I am trained on how to meet individuals where they are at. I hold compassionate space for humans maneuvering emotional moments that may be connected with traumas from the past. Many of my Yoga Therapy students have experienced traumas that they didn’t realize were traumatic until we started working together. More often than not these traumas were connected to childhood experiences.

Yoga Therapy Sessions

During Yoga Therapy sessions there will be space to talk about what is coming up for you in your life in regards to the concepts you are currently digesting, like a very hungry caterpillar, from the Yoga Philosophy 101 modules.  Yoga Therapy sessions will generally include centering, intention setting, goal check-in, guided mix of: breathing/movement/meditation/visualization/relaxation and goal setting.  Personal intentions and goals provide support for making the positive changes that you want to make.
