Strength and Courage

The picture at bottom right was taken in 2010. The other photos were taken in 2020.  What a crazy 10 years it has been. The girl in the tree is not the same person who is currently writing this post. Perhaps my outsides look similar- but my insides are quite different.  I am very proud of the work that I have put in over the past 10 years in carving out a place for myself as a yoga teacher as well as healing on the deepest levels of my being through my personal journey. The journey was not all butterflies and rainbows- it was a bunch of caterpillar mushiness and debilitating storms. However with consistent effort I evolved slowly over time. This week in my classes I will be talking about the 3rd Niyama- tapas or discipline. In order to pave the road towards the most awesome version of you it takes courage, self-discipline, and passion. This means getting out of bed in the morning with a commitment to yourself to be better today then you were yesterday. This means showing up to face any challenges that arise on your mat or in your life with the strength. This means embodying self-confidence in knowing that you got this- look how far you have come already! Seriously give yourself credit. Take a moment and think about your evolution over the past 10 years- far out! Keep going, there ain't no stopping you now!

✨Much love and gratitude goes out to friend and photographer @braddeeles for taking all photos seen here- because of his awesomeness my website and new online platform look sweet. In need of a photographer? Check him out: @alienexpat I highly recommend his work. ✨ #phillyphotographer
