The world we live in is a chaotic and violent place. Filled with judgment about religion, political party, skin color, sexual oriented and sexual identity (just to name a few). Many people are stuck in negative attitudes such as disappointment, resentment, anger and greed. How do we change the world my loves? We do it by being the change we wish to see like Gandhi. We do it by choosing to take care of ourselves so that we can erase years of socially induced programs within ourselves that keep us stuck in ego, fear, righteousness, hatred, greed and bigotry. We make a difference by choosing to do better and be better. Yoga Philosophy has an 8 Fold Path which is a guide to being your best self and assists you in living a life with integrity. Over the next 10 weeks in my classes I will educate students about the first two steps- Yamas and Niyamas. This week we are practicing Ahimsa- nonviolence, cultivation of loving kindness and compassion for all beings. Imagine if every human was taught to love and respect all of creation.
